This position involves embedded systems development to the board level on projects that span motion control/robotics applications, sensor integration, special communications systems, and size weight and power optimization. You will be a member of our multidiscipline, integrated development team and will see projects evolve from concept to delivery within 6-9 months on average.

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years of design and development experience
  • Active Secret Clearance with last investigation within 5 years
  • Experience with the following:
    • Embedded systems design, processor selection, various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), analog design, sensor design, low power design, various RF technologies and testing
    • Real time motion control / robotics
    • Digital and Analog circuit design
    • Power supply topologies
    • Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Altium, PADS, or equivalent
    • PCB bring-up and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support
    • Experience with Test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and DMM
    • Experience creating complete technical documentation packages
    • Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware and cabling

Preferred skills:

  • Layout circuits within tight and unusual mechanical constraints
  • Hands-on assembly and modification of electromechanical systems
  • Antennas and communication systems integration
  • Experience working directly with customers to develop requirements
  • Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware and cabling
  • Design process oriented and milestone driven
  • Software/firmware experience including Labview, C, etc.
