Staff in this position provide a wide application ofprinciples, theories, and concepts in their field and provide solutions to awide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions. This positiondesigns, develops, and tests all aspects of components and systems. Familiaritywith a variety of the electronic field's concepts, practices, and procedures isa must. Complicated tasking requires strong reliance on experience and judgementto plan and accomplish a variety of design and manufacturing goals. A widedegree of creativity is required and associated latitude is provided.

This position involves systems development, design and testing on RF transmitter and receiver systems, including various antenna types and various signal processers.  The customer set for this equipment is across the national security community and the equipment will be employed in various airborne and terrestrial locations. Applicant should have an expert level understanding of integrated RF systems and cabling routing.

CTI expects senior engineers to lead multi-discipline teams to develop solutions.  Task leadership starts with developing proposals, including creating a technical approach and a cost estimate, and includes documenting customer requirements and risk identification/mitigation measures.  After the product is designed and produced, senior engineers continue to test or supervise development of prototypes, completed products and other deliverables.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • 5 + years of experience in Electrical / RF Engineering
  • Active security clearance

  • Layout circuits within tight and unusual mechanical constraints
  • Hands-on assembly and modification of electromechanical systems
  • Antennas and communication systems integration
  • Expert knowledge of RF testing methods, equipment and best practices
  • Experience working directly with customers to develop requirements
  • Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware and cabling
